Ski boot fitting

Made to measure ski boots- Steps to a perfect ski boot

Steps to a perfect ski boot

1

Computerised foot analysis

We measure your feet using a computer program and establish the exact length, width, shape and the distribution of pressure.

2

3D Measuring method

With our new 3-dimensional method we can also measure instep, heel and every other part of the foot from all sides.

Your feet are analysed live, every movement is immediately visible on screen.

We look for the best boot for you!

4

Making a Sport-Insert

The insert is the fundament upon which everything is built. Malpositioning of the feet is compensated for to avoid problems later.

5-1

Gauging problem points

High quality, exactly fitted ski boots often require further adjustment with special tools, to avoid pain developing at pressure spots. With our pressurepoint-sensor it is possible to exactly localise these spots.

6

Grinding the outer boot

  • ankle
  • middle foot
  • navicular bone
  • big and small toe

The shell is taken apart, prised open and ground down at the marked spot. This grinding is particularly suited for small areas of pressure.

7

Stretching the outer boot

If necessary we can fit a special strip ( = 1:1 model of the foot),the help of which the outer boot can be adjusted exactly.

Calf last

Many clients also have issues in the calf area. Therefor we have specific calf lasts to create more space in the cuff area.

8

Stretching the outer boot

  • front foot
  • ankle
  • lower leg
  • Hallux Valgus

If necessary we can fit a special strip ( = 1:1 model of the foot),the help of which the outer boot can be adjusted exactly.

9

Structural analysis - Canting adjustment

With the help of a laser device we can recognise deviations from the norm. With a special insert (Jurtin Medical), and adjusting the shaft to fit your lower leg ( = canting), the transferral of force and impulses onto the ski is improved, at the same time relieving pressure on the knee joint.

10

Liner fitting

  • customizing through foaming
  • making the tongue
  • tightening the shaft
  • Thermoflex-inner boot

Lifter

To increase height, enabling more lean in the turns, we can attach plates (lifter) to the sole of your boot. These come in different sizes.

13

Test run

There’s nothing stopping you now from testing your equipment for the first time on the piste.

Fine tuning

After the first day of skiing you may notice some minor pressure points caused by your ski boots. Thanks to our electronic devices we are able to establish exactly where they are and remove them quickly. If necessary, we can make further adjustments to the ski boot shaft, canting, flexion etc. Once the fine tuning is complete, you can enjoy many years of pleasure with your ski boots, enabling an exact transferral of pressure without causing pain.
