Despite huge improvements in standard ski boot, it may be necessary to have a special foamed inner boot made.
This is advisable in the following cases:
-very thin feet, especially around the heel
-extremley wide feet
-racing, for direct transfer of force
-touring and freeride boots, for improved fixation
-misshapen feet, caused by accidents etc.
Foamed Tongue
The tongue is one of the most important parts of the ski boot. It transfers force on to the ski. It may be advisable to have an individually made tongue in the following cases:
-too little heel support
-very boney and protruding shins
-racing, for higher sensitivity and improved transfer of force
The Foam
The most important part of foaming is the hardness and the composition of the foam. According to the part of the boot being foamed, harder and more compact or softer foam is used.
The forming process
After the foot analysis, making the inserts and adapting the outer boot, the inner boot can then be foamed according to your needs.
This process takes approx. 45 minutes.
After 12 hours setting the boot is ready.
HEAD / SIDAS / NORDICA / UPZ
These liners offer a 100% fit to the foot and shell with minimum weight and excellent isolation.
Overlap liners: Ideal for strong calves and sensitive skins. Very warm.
Tongue construction: Optimal solution for cold feet and boots that are too big. The volume is reduced and better fixation is achieved.
Fitting process: The boot liner is heated in a 100 degree oven for 15 min. In doing so, the liner becomes soft and moldable. Once heated, the liner is inserted into the shell and must be worn for 15 min.
